Whether outward or inward, all art is a search for meaning. The more I paint the world outside my eyes, the more my questions are directed back inward. And the more I paint the landscapes behind my eyes, the more I am led to reach outwards. All my paintings, abstract, realistic or somewhere in between, are ways of thinking things through, metaphors of that uncertain search.
